Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Kansas. My research interests include political behavior, party competition, representation, and political institutions. In my dissertation, entitled “Challenging Corruption: Electoral Accountability for Corruption in Latin America”, I investigated the sources of political accountability for corruption and the institutional and contextual factors that influence voter responses to political elite's exposed corruption. A paper based on this dissertation won the best poster award at the 2018 Latin American Political Methodology Conference. In my research, I use a mixed-methods approach, incorporating original experimental and text data with survey and qualitative data. Prior to joining the University of Kansas, I was a visiting assistant professor at Reed College (2019-2020) and a visiting research scholar at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies, GIGA, (2017-2018). I received my PhD in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019. |
